    • The Grant Program aims to support community colleges in ensuring equitable access, placement, and completion for all students, particularly those from underserved communities.

  • Who is eligible to participate in the professional development program?

    • All full-time and part-time English and math faculty members at Cuesta involved in student placement, advising, teaching, or support services are encouraged to participate.

  • How should faculty participate in this professional development program?

    • Faculty participation is crucial for implementing effective strategies that promote equity in student placement and completion. Faculty can choose from participating in four different levels of engagement.

  • What PD activities will be covered in Level 2 of the professional development program?

  • Can I participate in Level 2 of the professional development program without completing Level 1?

    • We encourage you to discuss your situation with your Division Chair or Dean. They can provide additional guidance on how to begin engaging in Level 2 or other professional development opportunities at this time.

  • How will participation in this program benefit faculty members? How many advanced levels are available?

    • Faculty will gain valuable data points and available resources to serve diverse student populations and contribute to improving institutional equity outcomes while enhancing professional growth and development. There are 3 advanced levels

  • What are the expectations for faculty who participate?

    • Faculty are expected to actively engage in the selected level of professional development, apply learning outcomes to their instructional and support practices, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to institutional equity goals.

  • Will there be opportunities for networking and collaboration with colleagues from other community colleges?

    • Yes, the program will include networking opportunities for faculty to share best practices, collaborate on equity initiatives, and build a supportive community of practice.
