About the event
Join Argenta Price as she leads the workshop focused on a framework of 29 decisions that define the process of solving complex problems in science, engineering, and medicine. These decisions were identified by studying how experts solve real problems in their work. While they were defined in the context of science, many also apply to the social sciences and humanities. Often courses that aim to teach problem solving only require students to practice a small subset of these decisions. We developed a course, “Sustainable Energy for Future Presidents,” in which introductory students are challenged to make most of the problem-solving decisions while investigating and proposing solutions to real-world sustainable energy problems.
